Happy Easter!

Easter of years ago. Me in my favorite egg spot, while my brother claimed the other end of the garden as his.

Egg hunt was our home's annual tradition to celebrate Easter Sunday.  Our Mom's go-signal to begin the hunt absolutely gave each of us an adrenaline boost to hunt as many eggs as we could.  The more, the best!  Some eggs were hidden in giveaway places, yet some lay on a tree branch, and a few others camouflaged by stones and rocks.   We had a blast, most especially with the yummy candies inside the eggs.   Kraft's chewy caramel was the best!

Yesterday, the Pharmacy's kid registrants hunted for Easter eggs but  with a "supposed  twist".  Twists make it more exciting.  6-12 year old kids were to hunt and pick Easter eggs  in a span of 2 minutes. In BLINDFOLD, but paired with a 3-5 year old kid whose function is to give directions and be a patient guide.
My blindfold purpose:  to enhance communication skills and the art of listening

But, missing in this link were  eagerness and an exploding sense of excitement.  Thus, we resulted with a  shouting, running, climbing and digging 2-minute egg hunt-RIOT. No gasps in between. Young guides pushing and pulling their paired hunter.  While their mothers successfully paved their own way in acting out a  hunter as well. *Haha.

Yet, look how organized and well-behaved they were at the start.
Too good to be true. *Haha.

On top of the Egg Hunt, we extended our fun riot with an Easter Egg Relay and the popular Hep Hooray game.

All 37 kids went home high, happy, and with a lootbag filled with pharmacy goodies.  Children's vitamins, School supplies, Generikard and a birdThey promised to return on May 7 for our drawing contest in which artworks of the top 3 winners will be displayed in the Pharmacy.

How about you?  How was your Easter Sunday?  Anyway, here's wishing you a HAPPY EASTER.  Time to refresh and start new.  Cheers!

Note:  Generika Bahayang Pag-asa's Easter Sunday festivities is the official launch of GENERIKID 2011.  Generikid aims to promote healthy and active lifestyle of kids ages 3-12 years old.

The Easter Cry

Have you had days when you just had to cry?

Don't get me wrong.  I am absolutely NOT in a crying mode.  Life is pretty much stable this week compared to the previous two weeks. Ayayay!  Call this the emotional "Human Resources" woes.

Let's just say that the Easter-bug has bitten my thoughts to do a bit of reflection before the hunt begins.

I have always believed that crying is nourishment for the soul.  Not only do we  release heartaches, we get to wash away the  negative abyss that clogs our rational being.  Some may cry once and immediately see the light.  Yet for some, it may take days, months or even years.  The length of time is irrelevant as long as the cry we shed is a Real Good Cry.

This Easter, I WILL CRY.

I will cry to celebrate the many blessings I have received.
I will cry to heal the sorrows that came my way.

I will cry to RISE and be FREE!

Wishing you a Blessed and Happy Easter!

Therapy Day

THE SIGN --  Coffee grounds splattered everywhere.  The brewer erupted this morning.  I (yes me) brewed coffee with no water!!!

The sign for a much needed break.  So I PAUSED the "fast" play button and headed straight to my therapy.

Here I am strolling slow along the aisle of my stress buster getaway.  Love this place. Just a kilometer away from my place.  No hustle and bustle...wide alleys lined up with goods from floor to ceiling...fresh-er  produce...exclusive finds.  The best part is the no worry parking :)

Went straight to the nuts section to check-out macadamia nuts.  Hola!  New stocks have arrived.  But WHOA!  A bag costs P1,200 ($22)!!!  Goodness.  I bought the exact same brand and size for $10 from my US trip last year.  Ugh!  Such a frustrating feeling.  The thing that you long for is right in front of you, yet by having it will just lead you to a whirlpool of guilt.  Husband decided on my behalf over the phone.

Remember? I was there for a therapy.

Then, cans of my favorite CHEESE BALLS came to sight.  I was ecstatic.  The last can was gobbled by "pac-ME" 3 days ago.  I placed 2 cans in my cart ... and deliberated again! I adore Cheese balls and these are absolutely way cheaper than macadamia nuts.  But the beading stops when I eat cheese balls.  Not a good thing to do.  It is the eating that must stop and not the beading.  Ergo, I returned the cans and moved away.

Two finds, yet I still feel the same.  I was there for therapy and not to ponder on each find I see.

How about these next two?

Two thoughts came to mind.  First, SQUEEZE the marshmallows.  I DID.  A split moment of relief.  Second, will this fit inside the Easter Eggs I bought for the Pharmacy?  A little party-hunt the team thought of to celebrate Easter.  Nah!  The mallow is bigger than the egg.  The bag almost made its way to my cart.

Wow!!!  The last time I had a Ring Pop was when I was still this small.  I wished in January that MMs were beads.  Today, I wish that  rings turn into Pops!  A new flavorful twist to something usual.  Love the idea of making normal AB-normal :)

Two hours of therapy and nothing.  By nothing, I mean fancy and colorful.  In other words, useless!

Perhaps this is just what I needed . . .  NOTHING!

But don't worry, I brought home something . . .
