Scenes from the Woodrose Family Bazaar '10

Last weekend made me feel High School again.  I was surrounded (too much!) by tons of happy, noisy, feisty and pretty High Schoolers from Woodrose. And take note, they were equally divided according to four super-energetic teams: Team Gold, Team Red, Team Blue and Team Green. I really wonder where they get their energy from.  I don't even remember I was that way during my High School years in AC!!!  Haha.  Apparently, I came from "competition".

But then, I aged. And so did my perspective on inter-school competition.  Everyone's a friend now.

Anyway, here are a few scenes from last weekend's Woodrose Family Bazaar.

Same day. Same time. Now na!

I have this bad habit of scheduling activities on the same day. SAME time.  As in, now na!

Ask the Pharmacy staff, surely they will affirm.  They've had their share of my thrill for hectic-ness.  Here's a typical scene:  medical mission in the store while an activity with Senior Citizens is going on at a multi-purpose hall,  then some fly off to distibute flyers and stick posters on all possible posts along the road.  We start at 7am then cap the day at 11pm.  Everyone dead tired. Loony?  Maybe.  No one has dared to shout out loud yet.  Haha!

The point here is ... Today's activities does not differ much from what I am so accustomed to.  The only difference this time is the "victim" .... J. Bond!

Today is set-up day for the Woodrose Family Bazaar.  So I thought.  Thank God, J. Bond heeded my request to take the day off from work to help me with setting-up.  A big smile for his gallant act.  But then, here's what else happened ...

Only today did I realize that our Accountant's office was situated
right beside Laguna Bay.

Literally beside the bay!!! 

While I was obviously appreciating the view, J. Bond ended up meeting with the  Accountant single-handedly. Lol! And yes, I did squeeze Pharmacy-related activities today, right before the bazaar set-up.

The 2nd Pharmacy-related activity for the day. Shopping at Edeng Toy Center in Market Market for the Thanksgiving Activity on October 23, 2010 at Little Angels Orphanage.

 

By the way, not only does Edeng sell cheap toys and little knick knacks for giveaways,  they also have these colorful wigs.

 

 J. Bond was getting hungry.

But we did bring home a lot of fun goodies for the Little Angels.

Simple and Initmate Celebration

Even if busy, one should still give time to a bit of relaxation.  Especially when it has something to do with someone's special day. 

And so it was J. Bond's day yesterday (10-12-10).  But the "simple" and "intimate" celebration happened last Sunday. Nothing to do with our current status of being middle-age when life is en route to slowing down, we have actually been this way since our pre-marriage years. We'd rather drown our nights in our own world ... drinks, pizza and with a few good friends...at home. Or, embrace the cool climate of Tagaytay.

Last Sunday, off we went to Tagaytay to celebrate the arrival of middle age.

Started the day with our regular 8:45am Sunday Mass at the basketball court of Alabang Hills Village.  This is where the Alabang Hills Village Christmas Bazaar will happen too ...

Then off we went to Tagaytay for lunch at Bawais.  Known for their home and freshly-cooked Vietnamese dishes and served amidst a cozy and lush eco-environment, Bawais has been one of my favorite destinations in Tagaytay.  Know more about Bawais HERE.

An nth time visit for me and J. Bond.  The first time for my in-laws.

Two of my favorite dishes.  The first - GOI CUON:  Vietnamese fresh lumpia served with Bawai's peanut sauce.

And second - BUN BO XAO:  Dry noodles with seared beef and vegetables.

There's so much to thank for.  Our days.  A year older.  Trials. Successes. Blessings. Even Tears. Dreams. Laughter.  Love.  Life.
