My 3rd WEDDING RING

Five years and six months ago.

The intention was to model the wedding ring.  Here's one more, my left hand around J. Bond's neck.

This morning, J. Bond thought of having a spare wedding ring made.  He thinks that the original blessed rings must forever be kept safe.

I thought I lost mine in Starbucks a few months after my wedding day. Unlike necklaces, I have a track record of losing rings.  Of course, I panicked and quickly had a 2nd ring made.    I now have 2 which  I rarely wear for fear of losing either once again. Apparently, my careless self left the original  on top of my work desk and re-discovered it on the day the 2nd ring was delivered.

Now, J. Bond is seriously thinking of having a 2nd ring made to serve as spare.  I want another one too, but not as spare. Rather, a ring that would  symbolize our 5 years of bliss, yet with a design that would  magnify our individual character.

J. Bond agrees.

So here's what I "secretly" desire.
*Lol!
So me and really pretty.
Yoohoo, J. Bond!

No choice!!!

I am wishing this very moment  to find time to celebrate my 5th wedding year with J. Bond.  But current events dictate the opposite. Besides, these events only happen once in a blue moon...both on the same day...and on our anniversary day.  Ayayay!!!

First was Mcoy and Roni-girl's wedding.  I talked about their engagement here.  And here.  Months prior to the wedding, Roni and I had a couple of coffee dates and email exchanges to discuss a few pointers on wedding details like table setting, candle design, flower arrangement and color "blending".
I took the role of wedding consultant, and that was how far I assumed my role will go.  Apparently not! I was also assigned the role of lector for the Church ceremony, which by the way was a first-ever for me in my part-time wedding career.  I had no idea when to seat and  stand.  So, I pretty much acted it out and stood most of the time.  Haha!!! My  nerves shook (especially the part when the priest skipped a whole page. ergo, i lost track.).  But I survived. Alleluia!

Unfortunately, I skipped on the reception after. My Mother demanded sweet-talked me to accompany her to another stranger relative party. I said NO at the start, but guilt eventually consumed my conscience. Therefore, I gave in and said yes after a couple of nags. My reasons were not good enough for Mother to give in. Hay naku! Mother and her power!

And so, I discovered just last night that they are my cousins. I have met three out of the whole bunch in the past, one of whom used to be a co-worker and my once-in-awhile chitchat partner while overseeing shows/events happening in Greenbelt.  Back then, she was in-charge of the marketing programs of the Ayala Cinemas :)
The older generation, with my mother in a tiptoe position behind everyone.  This, by the way, is the only best photo among the bunch I took.  The rest came out this way.
Haha.  Ang likot! This reaffirms my belief that the older you get,  cooperation, listening and standing-still dissolves.  Oh my!!!

Maybe, a March wedding anniversary celebration is the best possible time. Mother is scheduled to return to NY end of Feb.  That makes it three more weeks of social events (and shopping). Thus, I've got no other choice but to hang on and practice patience.  For now, you may check out our 2010 wedding anniversary celebration here and here.

I'm so lazy, Mac!

Oh no!!! Mac asked about her bead necklaces just awhile ago. So plans took a spinning 360 degree  turn from my ongoing lazy status. I just spinned by the way.  Nothing accomplished.

At first, I thought of saying that Mother and Dad2 are arriving from NY tomorrow...  I'm so excited with the goodies ... parties plus side trips are lined up every single day...and our bodies are long overdue for a massage at Sonyas Garden (this  comes first before everything else.  hehe.)
After the massage at Sonya's Garden in 2009.

The materials were handed over 1st week of January.  Maybe not.

Or, my 2-month long adopted Roni-girl (ex-work related but remains to be my little girl) is  tying the knot on the same day J. Bond and I are turning 5 (February 4). And, I am to fulfill a special role, causing just a bit of delay on the 5-year celebration.  No problemo.  There's definitely no missing out on Roni-girl and McCoy's special day.
Roni-girl and McCoy's engagement =)

Mac, won't buy this.

Perhaps, my sister's wedding in Mexico will do the trick.  Yes, that sister who is already married to R, mom to RichA, and will soon subject their "two/now three-getherness" to a mega-binding contract called marital bliss-ter.  Talk about love!!! The invitations are out and posted in her blog.  And here too.
R and R's wedding invites.

Really now?!  Mac, my friend, I'm sooooo damn lazy!  Obviously, social brouhahas beckon these days.  Hahaha.

Going on 5

We're going on 5!  And my brains are racked from brewing a plan on how to celebrate.   I'm sure that lightbulb moment will hit just right before the day arrives.  For now, I'm going gaga over this song.  Listen to it, and read the lyrics below.

I see my "younger" worry-wart self having a "nonsense" converstion with the enticing J. Bond......including that chilly eve when I firmly opted to pack up and back out from marital bliss(ter).  But thanks to B=RAVE dude friend and his girl for holding me captive until I gave my sweet I do the morning after. No regrets after all.  Hehe!

The Lyrics:  Baby It's Cold Outside

I really can't stay - Baby it's cold outside
I've got to go away - Baby it's cold outside
This evening has been - Been hoping that you'd drop in
So very nice - I'll hold your hands, they're just like ice
My mother will start to worry - Beautiful, what's your hurry
My father will be pacing the floor - Listen to the fireplace roar
So really I'd better scurry - Beautiful, please don't hurry
Well maybe just a half a drink more - Put some music on while I pour

The neighbors might think - Baby, it's bad out there
Say, what's in this drink - No cabs to be had out there
I wish I knew how - Your eyes are like starlight
To break the spell - I'll take your hat, your hair looks swell
I ought to say no, no, no, sir - Mind if I move closer
At least I'm gonna say that I tried - What's the sense in hurting my pride?
I really can't stay - Baby don't hold out
Ahh, but it's cold outside

C'mon baby

I simply must go - Baby, it's cold outside
The answer is no - Ooh darling, it's cold outside
This welcome has been - I'm lucky that you dropped in
So nice and warm - Look out the window at that storm
My sister will be suspicious - Man, your lips look delicious
My brother will be there at the door - Waves upon a tropical shore
My maiden aunt's mind is vicious - Gosh your lips are delicious
Well maybe just a half a drink more - Never such a blizzard before

I've got to go home - Oh, baby, you'll freeze out there
Say, lend me your coat - It's up to your knees out there
You've really been grand - I thrill when you touch my hand
But don't you see - How can you do this thing to me?
There's bound to be talk tomorrow - Think of my life long sorrow
At least there will be plenty implied - If you caught pneumonia and died
I really can't stay - Get over that hold out
Ahh, but it's cold outside

Baby it's cold outside

Brr its cold.
It's cold out there
Cant you stay awhile longer baby
Well..I really shouldn't...alright

Make it worth your while baby
Ahh, do that again.

Love this song. I'm smiling :)

only FOR you

Should have made this song the "one" while marching down the aisle four years ago. The mind changed for the nth time on the last minute.

Too late! No sense for regrets and should haves.  Past is past.  Unless J. Bond asks me to marry him again. Then I would say one more time ...  "I'll think about it!".    Ha-ha-ha!  There's no doubt  that I would (marry him again) ... same way, same date, same place, same GUY!

Beads were part of the plan.

So here you go  -- the one-pager wedding plan written on a paper napkin.  The planning took a max of one hour while sharing a grande cup of coffee in Starbucks with J. Bond. That's it.  Pretty much covers everything needed for a decent wedding.  Works (including Church and Reception reservations) began THREE MONTHS before the wedding date.

Note for the soon-to-be BRIDES: The cramming style is NOT for the weak heart. I do events which explains the familiarity. Planning and legwork a year in advance is the best way to take. But then I thrive on stress ... plus the less time, the lesser chances of changing my mind. My rule of thumb: Work with suppliers who do magic!

One-and-only brother handed me over to J. Bond.

The day was a breeze. I went for past wedding styles -- meaning parents/grandparents style.  Simple yet with a couple of frills --  rich in color (think Christmas in February), a quartet for a nostalgic mood , my flower girl (niece) in pink chucks and  roses for the ladies/couples/family members who made life lovely. Oh! ... and guests were grouped according to "FRIENDS" :)

the theme:  A CELEBRATION OF LOVE, LIFE AND PEOPLE WE CHERISH MOST.

I am number 2 in the married-sibling count.  The top spot belongs to one-and-only brother.  3rd spot will soon be filled-in by her ...

Sister # 4's confirmed date:  May (?), 2011. Where:  MEXICO!!!  Unlike me, she's way too advanced and organized with the plans.  A MUST especially for a destination wedding.  I'm 100% sure her day will be a  PARTY-BLAST!  I'm thrilled and can't wait any longer ... so are the rest of the family and her "besties" :)

Mums instead of Bead necklaces for the ladies.

Four years after, I thought of sharing with you a little bit of glimpse of 02-04-06.  Nothing grand but a day that is marked for the rest of my life.

As for you, treat this as my way of saying THANK YOU for taking time  to read my blogs.

February 26, 2010 (pm) where WE were

My bead and I were here in November 2009 . . .

Pre-Christmas bazaars in Manila did not matter.

Spent November 15  watching the boxing game of Manny Pacquiao
with my NY-based family.

Walked, Hopped, Posed,  Smiled,  Ate, Shopped, Watched, Laughed, Played.

Looking forward to 2011 NY trip!
(plus sister R's wedding in Mexico. ooh la la!)

Good night . . . Enjoy the weekend!
See you on Monday :)
